Ako igrač izgubi svest na samo 15 sekundi, prekida meč i ne može da trenira i igra najmanje nedelju dana. Ako je gubitak svesti 30 sekundi, njegovo odsustvo sa terena je mesec dana. Gobirtak svesti preko minut - out for season...
Koliko je ovo ozbiljno, nekoliko puta su nam sami ameri to naglašavali, jer takva povreda trenutno nije strašna, ali već sledeća (odnosno, sledeći gubitak svesti a da se nisu ispoštovali ovi rokovi) može dovesti do trajnog oštećenja mozga.
