Cardinals re-signed LT D.J. Humphries to a three-year, $45 million contract.
Humphries gets $29 million guaranteed. Once viewed as a bust as the 24th overall pick of the 2015 draft, the 26-year-old managed to start all 16 games for the first time in his career last season, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 58 tackle out of 81 qualifiers. He'd previously missed 37 games across his first four seasons due to injuries. Humphries is by no means an upper-echelon player at his position, but this at least solidifies Kyler Murray's blind side for the next couple seasons at least. At $15 million per year, Humphries would be the league's third-highest paid left tackle.
Cardinals signed OT Kelvin Beachum, formerly of the Jets, to a one-year contract.
The Jets' starting left tackle the past three seasons, 31-year-old Beachum will provide highly-experienced depth for an offensive line that's "set" but experienced major injury and ineffectiveness issues in 2019. He should make the Cardinals' 53-man roster.
Cardinals S Budda Baker signed a four-year, $59 million extension.
Baker, 24, is now the highest paid safety in league history. Baker will make around $14.75 million per year over the next four seasons. The 2017 second-round pick led all safeties last season in tackles and allowed the fifth fewest receptions among safeties.
