Cardinals signed No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray to a four-year, $35 million contract.
The contract is fully guaranteed and also includes the standard fifth-year team option. This contract dwarfs the deal he originally signed with the Oakland A's, so Murray's decision to leave baseball seems to be the correct decision, at least financially. If Murray were to go back to the MLB, all of his future guaranteed money would be voided, so it's extremely likely that he at least plays out his four-year rookie contract. Murray's football future is tied with the success of new head coach Kliff Kingsbury who has been in Murray's corner since high school.
NFL suspended Patrick Peterson six games for violating the policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Peterson skipped workouts ahead of the draft and appeared to be upset about something, prompting rumors of a trade. It now seems as if this suspension led to the unrest. Peterson will be eligible to return Week 7 against the Giants.
The No. 29 overall pick of the 2016 draft, Nkemdiche has been a major bust on the field to this point in his career. Still only 24, Nkemdiche is going to get a second chance, but his phone will not be ringing off the hook.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Cardinals and free agent wide receiver Michael Crabtree could not come to terms on a deal after Crabtree worked out for the team on Monday. Crabtree remains on the market for now.
Kao neko ko bas slabo prati NCAA, bas sam prijatno iznenadjen Kylerom. Mnogo zrelije igra nego sto sam ocekivao. Kad se sredi OL, moze to bit opaka masina. Jedino me nervira sto je KK kao mladji trener suvise konzervativan. Suvise FG-a kad imas odbranu pritisnutu uz zid. U oba meca do sada je to bio slucaj.
