Brandon Marshall - WR - Giants

Giants signed WR Brandon Marshall, formerly of the Jets, to a two-year, $12 million contract.
Marshall takes a bit of a pay cut in annual average to stay home in East Rutherford and join a contender. He was initially scheduled to earn $7.5 million from the Jets in 2017 before being cut last week. The Giants badly needed another proven receiver to take some heat off Odell Beckham and provide an upgrade on Victor Cruz. Marshall meets those qualifications and should be in line for a nice bounce-back season in a pass-happy offense that doesn't currently employ a strong on-paper running game or tight end. Eli Manning will have to pick up his play to make it work, however. Marshall turns 33 in two weeks but is back to fantasy WR2 status.

Chargers keep SS Addae with 4-year, $22M deal

Chargers re-signed SS Jahleel Addae to a four-year, $22 million contract.
it contains $8 million guaranteed. Addae, 27, missed more than half of last season with a broken collarbone, but returned late in the year and provided a big boost to the Bolts' defense, showing well both in pass coverage and against the run. The Chargers have a promising secondary with Addae and starting CBs Casey Hayward and Jason Verrett coming back from a torn ACL.

Rick Wagner - T - Lions

Lions agreed to terms with RT Rick Wagner on a multi-year deal worth in excess of $9 million annually.
The Bears are apparently outbidding everyone by a mile for Mike Glennon, but they couldn't beat the Lions' offer to Wagner, who will replace Riley Reiff at right tackle in Detroit. 27-year-old Wagner was one of the NFL's premier pass-blocking right tackles last season and holds his own in the running game. Largely durable, Wagner has started at least 14 games in three straight seasons. The deal makes him the NFL's second-highest paid right tackle behind Lane Johnson, who is being paid as a future left tackle in Philadelphia.

Tyrod Taylor - QB - Bills

Tyrod Taylor has agreed to a restructured contract to keep him with the Bills.
Buffalo didn't have many other options, unless it wanted to go with a clear downgrade in Nick Foles or Brian Hoyer and use the money saved from Taylor to improve the team elsewhere. Smartly, GM Doug Whaley wised up and realized keeping Taylor was the best option. New OC Rick Dennison campaigned for Taylor after the two worked together in Baltimore. Taylor isn't a top-end quarterback by any means, but there are far worse options to trot out there every week. The Bills can make the playoffs with him, LeSean McCoy, and Sammy Watkins staying healthy. We're just not sure if Buffalo is any better than a 9-7 or 10-6 squad.

Brian Hoyer - QB - 49ers

49ers agreed to terms with QB Brian Hoyer on a two-year contract.
Things were headed this direction all day. Hoyer reunites in San Francisco with former OC Kyle Shanahan, serving as a bridge until the 49ers find their long-term answer. Signing Hoyer likely means the 49ers will not trade for Kirk Cousins this offseason, but it seems like a foregone conclusion Cousins will end up in San Francisco at some point. Hoyer is as good an option as any to keep the seat warm.

49ers agreed to terms with WR Marquise Goodwin, formerly of the Bills.

Patrick DiMarco - RB - Bills

Bills agreed to terms with FB Patrick DiMarco, formerly of the Falcons, on a four-year, $8.5 million contract.
Get excited, Bills fans. Buffalo doesn't have much money to spend, especially after opting to keep Tyrod Taylor on Wednesday, but the team has been flirting with fullbacks to replace aging veteran Jerome Felton as LeSean McCoy's lead blocker. The Bills were thought to be the favorite to land free agent Kyle Juszczyk, but his market apparently has gotten out of their comfort zone. DiMarco caught a total of 20 passes over the past two seasons under OC Kyle Shanahan.

Desmond Trufant - DB - Falcons

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Falcons are close to reaching a long-term contract with CB Desmond Trufant.
The two sides opened talks at last week's Combine and should have a deal in place within 24 hours. Per Ledbetter, the deal is expected to land in the range of $12-14 million annually, which would make Trufant one of the highest paid corners in football. This would have been the last year of Trufant's rookie contract.

Matt Schaub - QB - Falcons

Falcons agreed to terms with QB Matt Schaub on a two-year, $9 million deal.
The Falcons will pay $4.5 million per year to a player they hope never attempts a pass. Schaub provides excellent intangibles as a No. 2, but is completely washed as a passer. Schaub turns 36 in June.

Barry Church - DB - Jaguars

Jaguars agreed to terms with SS Barry Church on a four-year contract.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the deal is worth "more than $6 million per year." The second best safety on the market, Church reportedly received interest from a "number of teams" before landing in Jacksonville. He will replace Johnathan Cyprien as the starter next to Tashaun Gipson

Dwayne Allen - TE - Patriots

Patriots acquired TE Dwayne Allen and a sixth-round pick from the Colts in exchange for a fourth-round pick..
Per ESPN's Field Yates, the Colts are getting a "late-round pick." The surprising move is a result of free agency's moving parts, with the Colts re-signing Jack Doyle and the Pats letting Martellus Bennett walk. Allen has long teased tantalizing upside as a complete tight end, but was extremely disappointing in the first season of a four-year, $29.4 million extension in 2016. Allen was out-played by Doyle, including as a blocker. The Pats clearly believe his game can be revived, while he can be more of a role player if Rob Gronkowski can stay on the field. If not, Allen has the skill-set to be an every-down player, at least in theory.

Bengals keep Brandon LaFell with 2-year deal

Bengals re-signed WR Brandon LaFell to a two-year contract through 2018.
LaFell was not stellar during his first year with the Bengals, but he did manage 64 catches for 862 yards and six touchdowns including decent showings when A.J. Green was out with an injury late in the season. Still, the Bengals' passing game suffered from a lack of weapons in 2016, and re-signing LaFell is not enough to fix those issues. They should be looking for more help.

Bills collecting fullbacks, sign Mike Tolbert

It makes little sense on a day where the Bills have already signed Patrick DiMarco, but ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports Tolbert is coming aboard as a running back. Whatever his position is listed as, it's a puzzling move. The Bills must view Tolbert as a battering ram behind LeSean McCoy, who has had struggles at the goal line. Tolbert played for new coach Sean McDermott in Buffalo.

Kyle Juszczyk - RB - 49ers

49ers agreed to terms with FB Kyle Juszczyk, formerly of the Ravens.
Juszczyk is an excellent blocker, but also an adept pass catcher, snagging 78 passes over the past two seasons. He'll be a versatile body out of the backfield for creative play-caller Kyle Shanahan. Slowly but surely, the 49ers are at least adding a few viable NFLers to their skill corps. Juszczyk turns 26 in April.

Mike Windt - C - Chargers
Chargers re-signed LS Mike Windt to a four-year, $4.41 million contract.
He got $620,000 guaranteed. Turning 31 in May, Windt has been long snapping for the Bolts since 2010.

Ryan Mallett - QB - Ravens
Ravens re-signed QB Ryan Mallett.
Mallett was in danger of falling out of the league after oversleeping/missing a flight got him cut in Houston, but he's found a home in Baltimore. Aside from 2015's ACL tear, Joe Flacco has never missed a game. Turning 29 in June, Mallett's odds of getting on the field this year are slim.

Najee Goode - LB - Eagles
Eagles re-signed LB Najee Goode to a one-year contract.
Goode is a special teamer who has played 235 career snaps on defense. He turns 28 in June.

Calais Campbell - DL - Jaguars
Jaguars agreed to terms with DE Calais Campbell, formerly of the Cardinals.
The deal is worth $14 million annually, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Campbell figures to play right end in Jacksonville where the Jaguars have been using bigger linemen ever since ex-coach Gus Bradley took over the team. DC Todd Wash is a holdover from Bradley's regime and will likely keep the same scheme. Campbell not only is stout against the run, but he gives the Jaguars much needed pass-rush skills from the position that previous REs Jared Odrick and Red Bryant didn't show. It's a huge get for the Jaguars as they continue to stockpile defensive talent.

Tony Jefferson - DB - Ravens
Ravens agreed to terms with S Tony Jefferson, formerly of the Cardinals.
The market's top safety, Jefferson was also drawing interest from the Jets and Browns, the latter of which were reportedly offering the most money. Jefferson chose the Ravens' infinitely better odds of winning in 2017, though we doubt he's taking that much of a discount. A 2013 UDFA, Jefferson gradually saw his playing time increase before breaking out as a full-time player the past two years. He's a playmaker. Jefferson's addition is a sign Lardarius Webb will be sent packing.

Vlad Ducasse - G - Bills
Bills agreed to terms with OG Vlad Ducasse, formerly of the Ravens, on a three-year contract.
The longtime Jet was signed off the street last season, getting forced into eight starts. His play was that of a journeyman fill-in. He'll be a reserve in Buffalo, one not guaranteed of cracking the 53-man roster.

Malcolm Smith - LB - 49ers
49ers agreed to terms with WLB Malcolm Smith, formerly of the Raiders.
Given a two-year, $7 million contract by the Raiders two years ago because he randomly won the Super Bowl XLVIII MVP, Smith provided two years of sub-replacement thumping on the inside. Smith will go back to the weak side. He's essentially a body for a 49ers defense that was historically thin in 2016.

Kenny Stills - WR - Dolphins
Dolphins re-signed WR Kenny Stills to a four-year, $32 million contract with $20 million guaranteed.
It's a major win for Miami after Stills looked likely to leave for better offers. Stills averaged 17.3 yards per reception and set a career high in touchdown catches (9) in Adam Gase's first season and will return as the Dolphins' primary outside receiver. The move speaks to Miami's lack of confidence in DeVante Parker and Leonte Carroo. Re-signing Stills won't prevent the Fins from signing contract-year slot WR Jarvis Landry to a long-term extension. Only 24 years old, Stills can now re-hit the free agent market at age 28.

Paul Worrilow - LB - Lions
Lions signed ILB Paul Worrilow to a one-year contract.
Worrilow spent 2016 backing up Falcons MLB Deion Jones. A starter his first three years in this league, Worrilow put up big tackle stats but was brutally ineffective in run defense and coverage. He's best used as a fourth linebacker.

Shiloh Keo - DB - Saints
Saints re-signed S Shiloh Keo to a one-year contract.
A special teamer primarily, Keo was forced into 130 defensive snaps with New Orleans last year. The Saints will try to limit him to covering kicks in 2017.
